NASCAR's David Gilliland – from boy to Superstar
David Gilliland was born April 1, 1976 in Riverside, Calif., and is the son of former Cup driver Butch Gilliland. Like most descendants of races, Gilliland, almost always at the racetrack and when he was old enough, was a part of his father, AutoZone West Series team. At that time she was 19, was the crew chief and the following year he was Champion Crew Chief of the Year, as his father had also managed to get the Winston West championship to his collection ofhome.

Gilliland tested in major league NASCAR race in 2003, but failed to qualify.
